Terms are hidden across, down, or on a forward diagonal (no
backwards words). Only the letters of each term make it into the grid — spaces and punctuation are
dropped, so "Cell division" becomes CELLDIVISION. A term that can't find room in the grid is dropped and
listed, not silently missing. Prints a puzzle page and a separate answer-key page.
A best-effort layout, not a perfect solver: terms are placed
longest-first wherever they share a letter with something already on the grid, and a term that shares no
letters with anything else is dropped and listed rather than forcing a broken puzzle. Lists of related
terms (shared letters) place better than a grab-bag of unrelated words. Definitions become the clues, so
a term with no definition can't be included. Prints a clue page and a separate answer-key page.
Card size (3×3, 4×4, or 5×5 with a FREE center)
scales with how many words/definitions are available. Each card is a different random layout so a class
doesn't get identical cards. Prints one page per card, plus a caller's master list.
Terms with a definition get a numbered left column and a
scrambled, lettered right column, with a blank for students to write the matching letter. Prints the quiz
and a separate answer key.
