Student Groups
Create your first student group using the button on the left. Each group needs a name, grade, and a room assignment for each instructional period.
Configuration
Application Settings
Configure your school's name, daily schedule structure, and display preferences. These settings persist in your browser.
School Identity
Displayed in the application header.
Schedule Structure
How many instructional periods are in a full school day.
Start/end times per period. Used for transition windows in the Visualizer, schedule rows, and exports. Leave rows blank to skip.
Student headcount used for congestion weighting when a group has no size set.
How individual periods are labeled throughout the app.
Travel Time Estimation
Normal walking pace across one grid square.
Fixed overhead for using a staircase portal.
Congestion delay is added automatically when multiple groups share the same hallway tile during the same transition.
Subjects
Departments available in the classroom editor and Schedule Browser. Drag the grip to reorder.
Display & Canvas
Choose the resolution of the blueprint canvas.
Size of each grid cell on the canvas at 100% zoom.
Color Palette
Choose a color palette for the interface. Your selection is saved with your other settings.
Backup & Restore
Export everything — blueprint, student groups, and settings — into a single JSON file you can back up or move to another computer. Importing replaces the entire current project.
Hand Off to Another Device
Send the current full project straight to another laptop over the same Wi-Fi — a QR/code pairing, same idea as Classroom Timer's "Mirror to a device" — instead of exporting a file and importing it there by hand.
Project Snapshots
Save up to 5 named copies of your project to browser storage. Snapshots are independent of exported JSON files and stay in this browser.
Automatic Recovery Points
Kept on their own, without you asking: the whole project is copied every few minutes while you work, and again when you leave the page. Three are held at a time, oldest dropped. If the browser dies, or the saved layout comes back unreadable, you'll be offered the newest one on the next open. These live in this browser's IndexedDB, separate from the auto-save above, so a full-storage failure can't take both.
