Bracket / Tournament Generator

One per line, or separated by commas. Byes are added automatically if the count isn't a power of 2.

Type one team a line as Team name: member, member, member. The bracket shows the team name; the members show when you point at or focus a team, and print as a team list under the bracket. A line with no colon is a team with no members.

Double elimination adds a losers bracket — a team isn't out until it loses twice. Round robin plays everybody against everybody, no eliminations. Pools splits entrants into round-robin groups that feed an elimination bracket. Swiss pairs similar records for a fixed number of rounds — nobody is out after one loss.

Single elimination only, and it needs at least 3 entrants. The teams that lose their first game play on in a second bracket after the main one, and the two semifinal losers play for third place. This is first-round consolation, not double elimination: a team that loses again in it is out, and a team that had a bye in round 1 is not in it. Choose Double elimination if a team should not be out until it has lost twice.

Entrants are split evenly across pools (snake-distributed, so pools stay balanced under Ranked seeding). Each pool plays a full round robin.

How many finishers from each pool move on to the elimination bracket, once every pool match is decided and you click "Generate bracket."

Every round pairs each player/team against someone with a similar win-loss record so far (skipping repeat matchups where possible), for this many rounds — nobody is eliminated after one loss.

Random shuffles the list. As entered keeps your list order (also used for byes). Ranked treats your list as seed 1..N in order and places seeds so the top two can't meet before the final — seed 1 plays the lowest seed in round 1. Round robin only affects the standings table's Seed column. Pools uses it to order entrants before splitting into pools; Swiss uses it for round 1's pairing and its standings' Seed column.
