Timeline Builder

Compressed scale gives recent events more room and squeezes ancient history closer together, instead of every year getting equal space — useful for a timeline spanning millennia.

Add a second (or more) track to compare related timelines stacked on the same year axis — e.g. a country's history vs. world history.

Broad periods like "Renaissance" shown as a shaded band behind the events, distinct from a single event's own range bar.

Events sharing a category are colored the same on the timeline, with a legend below it.

Pick a place from the list and the coordinates fill in for you, or type any place name and enter its own latitude and longitude. Events with a place get a numbered pin on the “Map + timeline” print; events without one just stay off the map.
